Reiner Westermeier is currently Senior Scientist for Proteomics at CE Healthcare. After completing his thesis, Reiner engaged in the development of new electrophoresis systems and applications at the Technical University in Munich from 1976-7983. An electrophoresis products and applications specialist at LKB Instrument GmbH from 1 984-1987, moving to Pharmacia Biotech 1987-1990. He founded ETC Elektrophorese-Technik in 1991/or the development of new electrophoresis methods, media, and equipment. In 1996 he became the European scientific support manager at Pharmacia Biotech in Freiburg, Germany, progressing to Global application manager for Proteomics for Amersham Pharmacia Biotech in 1997. A regular attendee at worldwide lectures and seminars, he is author of several publications and two books.
Tom Naven is Marketing Manager for CE Healthcare. He obtained his D Phil from the University of Oxford in 11996; and completed his post-doctoral thesis. He worked for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund from 1996-1999, and then transferred to Amersham Biosciences (now CE Healthcare). He has held a variety of positions including product manager and marketing manager for mass spectrometry, chromatography and other proteomics related equipment and technology.
Hans-Rudolf Höpker was employed as sales and product specialist by LKB Instrument GmbH from 1978-1987, where he engaged in the sales and marketing of protein separation systems. He then held various European product management and marketing roles at Pharmacia Biotech for protein separation products becoming regional and global marketing director for proteomics in 1997. During the period 2004-2007, he was Senior Scientist at CE Healthcare RaJD. He has attended several international seminar tours and collaborations in the application area of HPLC for biomolecules and was an invited tutorial lecturer on protein and peptide liquid chromatography at the HUPO World Congress in Beijing 2004 and Munich 2005.
