Licht ist nicht gleich Licht. In diesem Werk werden herausragende Bauten und Projekte aufgezeigt, die dem Thema Gestaltung durch und mit Licht in der Architektur besondere Bedeutung zukommen lassen. Es geht um Bauten, die Licht - Tages- und Kunstlicht - vom Beginn des Entwurfes an als integralen Bestandteil eines Gebäudes behandeln und die drei Dimensionen des Lichts - Quantität, Qualität und Ausdruck - optimal miteinander verbinden. Gute Lichtarbeit ist in diesem Sinne ein hervorragendes Zusammenwirken von Raum, Form und Material.
